Community Activism

Throughout history, individuals have played a critical role in the conservation of the wildlife and wild places that make our country unique. Defenders is dedicated to helping individuals across the country find their voice to make a real difference through helping to build network of educated, trained, and motivated citizen advocates dedicated to conserving wildlife and habitat.

Whether communicating with elected officials, working with media, or organizing in local communities, every person has the ability to make a difference. The resources in this section will help provide the tools needed for each and every one of us to use our voice, and our passion to protect and restore wild animals and plants in their natural communities – whatever the challenge is before us.
