Greater Yellowstone Wolves Protected Again!

Breaking News: 9/17/2008

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, bowing to reality, finally rescinded the wolf delisting rule that it issued back in March of 2008. This means that wolves are now back under Endangered Species Act protection - a great victory for the conservation of wolves in the Northern Rockies and everyone working for wolf.

Defenders In the Field

Since their return to Yellowstone and the Northern Rockies, hundreds of wolves have been killed in response to livestock predation incidents. Defenders is taking proactive steps with resource managers, ranchers, and other community members to prevent deadly conflicts between wolves and livestock.
