What Congress is Doing to Stop Global Warming
Legislation
Congress must pass meaningful aggressive legislation that takes immediate steps to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which are the root cause of climate change.
One way for Congress to do this is to pass legislation that moves us away from fossil fuels. By increasing energy efficiency, using more renewable energy sources and cars that run cleaner and go further on a gallon of gas, and by passing a renewable fuel standard with necessary environmental safeguards, Congress can move us in a new energy direction.
