Gina Schrader
Conservation Associate
Areas of Expertise: Wolf conservation issues, economic incentive programs
Gina develops and manages Defenders’ Northeast and Great Lakes gray wolf and Southeast red wolf conservation programs. She monitors and comments on federal and state wolf management initiatives, produces educational and outreach wildlife conservation materials, and serves as the conservation representative on the Wisconsin Wolf Stakeholders group, the Coalition to Restore the Eastern Wolf, and on the board of directors for the Red Wolf Coalition . Since joining Defenders in 2001, Gina also has coordinated key events, such as our annual wolf and bear awareness weeks. As a participant of the 2007-2008 class of the Emerging Wildlife Conservation Leaders, Gina is working on an international campaign to address the illegal wildlife trade of endangered Asian pangolins.
Gina holds a B.A. in Political Science, with minors in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Western Michigan University.
