Areas of expertise: Media relations

Christine joined Defenders of Wildlife in 2007. As the Communications Coordinator, she provides administrative support for the Communications Department; and serves as a liaison to staff, media, other nonprofit organizations and the public. She is also the coordinator for the Wildlife Volunteer Corps, a program that connects Defenders' membership with hands-on, fun volunteer opportunities. The volunteers work on unique projects to protect, monitor and recover endangered and imperiled wildlife and the habitats and ecosystems they need to survive.

Before joining Defenders, Christine graduated from Ohio University in 2006 with a Political Science degree. After graduating, Christine spent a year in Central America travelling and teaching environmental education in Guatemala.
