Q: I am a current member of Defenders of Wildlife, but I did not receive my Defenders magazine. How do I get a replacement copy?
A:
Defenders magazine is mailed to members. When you join, your subscription will start with the next magazine that comes out. If you joined and have not received your magazine(s), please notify Defenders at 1-800-385-9712 or e-mail membership@defenders.org and we will send out a replacement copy.

Q: How can I get copies of back issues of the Defenders magazine?

Back issues of Defenders magazine are available for $3 per magazine. Please call 1-800-385-9712 or e-mail membership@defenders.org to inquire about availability.

Q: Can I purchase a magazine subscription for my local library?
A:
Yes! Giving a gift membership to a library is a wonderful way to educate your community on wildlife issues. The library subscription rate is $20.00 for one year. You can give a gift library subscription by mailing your donation (check or money order) to:

Q: Is the magazine printed on recycled paper? Why don't you use alternative papers or higher content of recycled/post consumer paper?
A:
Our magazine is printed on 10% post-consumer recycled paper. Paper is "glossy" in order to preserve the photo quality. Many places will recycle the magazine (or you can donate them to schools, libraries, hospitals, nursing homes, etc.).

Defenders Wildlife eNews is a free monthly enewsletter that provides interesting news and features on what Defenders of Wildlife is currently working on and ways you can help protect wildlife and the habitat it needs to survive. Subscribe to Wildlife eNews.

Q: I'm doing a report on (species). Can you send me information?
A:
You can find fact sheets about many species on this site. In depth information about our recovery efforts with many species can be found in our Imperiled Species section.

Q: Can I reproduce Defenders' educational and information materials and magazine articles?
A:
All Defenders' fact sheets can be copied, provided that they are not changed and that Defenders' logo and address are preserved on the copies. The entire magazine is protected by copyright. For information on copying magazine articles contact our editorial office.
